Notices couple of bugs in test version of new built.

There’s a slight problem with resolution on iPhone 16 pro. Added picture as an attachment

Unconfirmed transactions are not included in overall analysis of the account as shown on issue 2. Is this intentional? This issue is present on all versions of new Alzex that is iOS and Mac.
While making a new loan there’s no option to assign lent or borrowed money to the account.

Yes, these transactions should be confirmed or deleted. As far I know, it has always been like this.
It's intentional, It removes uncertainty. One half of the users is asking why this transaction wasn't deleted with the loan, other half is asking why it was deleted and messed all things up.

Issue is noticed when you swipe back to previous screen using swipe gesture. Visible in budget section. It doesn’t happen that often but it is.

ah, future transactions. Yes, it's a bug.
Loans became simpler, but more flexible and powerful. Now you can repay loan or increase loan amount with any type of transaction and specify the amount. Now it's versatile tool for tracking various things. Many users are using it like that. E.g. some project, where you put money in and extract from.

Confused and Messed Up

I am new to any testing of new versions but I wanted to see if the new version for iOS had incorporated the fix I asked for some time ago (see search "numerical support for attached keyboard") which was supposed to be included in the new version.

So I downloaded TestFlight thinking it would install a separate version from that already on my iPad and I would check for the fix by using the demo database.
However, what seems to have happened is that version 5.0 has been installed and incorporated one of my accounts I use regularly. The problem with attached keyboard support doesn't appear to have been fixed.
But as well as that when I try to open this same file on my windows pc I now get the following error message (below) presumably because the pc version doesn't recognise the beta build

"Unknown database version. Update software to the latest version to open this file"

I tried stopping testing and since deleted TestFlight but I don't seem to be able to get back to the previous version of my file.

How do I get rid of version 5 on my iPad and recover the finance file that was there before so that my pc version can open it as well?

plockery If you didn't make a backup copy of your database file, as it suggested above, the only option is to update PC version of the app as well.

Alexandr Your database file will be converted to a new format, so make a backup copy of your file before updating.

We've added support for physical keyboard, but unfortunately haven't one to test. In the emulator it worked fine.

Obviously I didn’t read the post carefully enough. Not sure what I am going to do now as I can’t seem to open the update file now on my iPad either.

Re updating the PC version. Do you mean to the “pro” version or just to the latest “home” version. I am not a professional or small business user so the pro version is irrelevant to me.

Also updating the PC version is presenting problems. When I open my personal account (which fortunately I can still do) the windows version at “help/about” is 7.1.5. It keeps saying there is an update available. When I try to update the windows version it goes to a website to download version 7.2. When I do that and install it the “help/about” says the version is now 7.4.2. Weird. But then when I close and reopen the program the update available notice reappears and the “help/about” says it is 7.1.5 again. I have done this several times - a loop of some kind. What is the latest windows version?

Re the keyboard fix, my testing of that can wait until I can fix up my other updated account. It is good to know a fix has been put in place and that it worked on the emulator. Hopefully when I can get proper updated versions going, it will work for me too. It did not seem to work when I used TestFlight on the beta but since everything about that account is now a mess I can’t be sure.

plockery Looks like there are several copies of the app installed on your computer, e.g. Home and Pro versions. Try to completely uninstall all copies of the app, then download and install the latest version.

Features set depends on your license key, not on the version installed (Home/Pro).

You were right. I had multiple versions on my PC. Uninstalled all versions and reinstalled downloaded version from website. Activated with my key and it now seems stable displaying version as 7.4.2. No longer any notification that an update is available notification.
However, It still can't open my other account updated on my iPad.
It displays the same error "Unknown database version. Update software to the latest version to open this file".
It looks like the latest windows version does not open the new updated IOS database version.

Re keyboard entry amount fix. I also had two versions of the iPad program on my iPad - old version and beta updated version. Deleted the old version. Using updated version (Alzex Finance Pro 5.0.0) which opens all accounts.
However, keyboard testing displays the same behaviour for transactions. All text (including numbers) can be entered via the keyboard in description, categories and payees etc.) but as soon as you click on the transaction amount to enter a number the calculator window opens and you have to use it to enter the amount.
How is it tested with an emulator? Do you have an iPad with a keyboard attached?
Can I supply any information that might help work out what the problem is?

Yes, calculator appears and there you can type numbers, +-*/, backspace, enter, etc.

Thanks. you saved my bacon. Windows Version 7.5 opens the updated file created by my iPad which means I can now move freely between pc and iPad again. Many thanks!

Re keyboard input. I did not expect the calculator window to come up at all. Expected just type in from the prompt in the transaction window (like windows version). But typing numbers in on the calculator window from the keyboard is fine.
Only one problem. I cannot type in the decimal point, If I try to type in say 79.45 for example it displays 7945. I think that is because the decimal point is the text full stop not a number. Can you do it? I think the code to type into the calculator window at that point needs to be set so that you can type in numbers and text.
