not valid database

Hi,

when I opened the software today, I received the following message:

"This is not a valid database for Alzex Personal Finance".

I tried to update the software to the latest version, but the error is still present.

What's wrong with it?

PLEASE RENAME THE FILE EXTENSION TO .PFD IN ORDER TO CHECK IT

Thanks

PS: even if the filename is "demo", I had personalized it, and the license of the software had been purchased some months ago both for Android device and for Windows computer.

Hello.

Restore your data base file from the backup. Backup copies are created automatically and located in My documents\Personal Finances\Backup folder.

Hi Alexandr,

Sorry for delay in my reply.

Unfortunately the backup didn't help me.

One of the two backups is older than my last modifications, the other one raises the same error of the original one.

It seems that something in that database is corrupted or missing. Aren't you able to check it? I sent you a copy of it in first message.

It would be a big pity to lose all that work.

Unfortunately the file doesn't contain any information, it's empty.

Hi Alexandr,

but how is it possible that this happened? I bought both a desktop and a mobile license in order to have a shared db, and now everything I filled through my accounts disappeared.

Isn't there any hidden folder or similar where I could find anything good to restore data, even in mobile device?

It's almost frustrating that a purchased program has this behavior, and even in the case that the fault was caused by some wrong action by our side, the fact itself we don't know what it happened doesn't help us to understand how to skip that this will happen again in the future.

Regards

Germano

If you use cloud to sync data, there is must be changes history of any file. Login to your cloud account (Google Drive or Dropbox) and restore previous version of your database file.
