Solved
Import problem.
Hello,
I have a problem with import. It seems to be connected somehow with the date. I didn't have any problems few days ago and before, but today (02.01.2018) it is not possible to import any csv file. I am getting error message: "0". If the file is blocked (opened in Excel) the error message says: "-2". It is not even possible to import old files (already imported some time ago).
Thank you in advance
Dominik
Check, is the file is accessible (try to open it in notepad). Try also copy the file to another folder. You can send one to me: support@alzex.com, I'll check it.
The files were accesible. I have checked on few different files.
Moreover I tried to re-run the app and reset the computer but nothing worked so I entered transactions manually that day.
I have checked right now ... and it is working all OK as at the beginning. I have no idea what was the reason. I didn't changed anything in the config of the app or the computer.
Anyway thank you for the answer. I will let you know if I face the issue again.
Kind regards.
Dear Alexandr,
I experienced same issue with csv import again. It seem like no import is allowed during first few days of the month: I have tried on 01.02.2018, 02.02.2018 & 03.02.2018 with no luck. Everytime I get "0" error message.
I have made many trials and here are the conclusions:
- it is not file permissions issue
- it is not specific to any particular csv file: previously imported files doesn't import and dummy files doesn't import
- changing system date (without reset) doesn't help in most cases
- changing system date + system reset work fine - allow to import, even if you change the date back to original just after reset.
So on 02.02.2018 I changed the date to 05.02.2018, reset the system (Windows 8.1), changed the date back to 02.02.2018 and the import was working. After all imports I reset the system again and the problem was visible again. Only the date during system start is important!
I can provide you more info if you need. Please fix it.
Kind regards
It's quite strange. I've just tested csv today (3rd of February) and all works fine. Could you please make a screenshot of that error window? Because I haven't inserted error message like that in the import process.
Here you have it.
Error message "0" is the normal one. Error message "-2" is for the locked file (opened in Excel).
I attach dummy csv file as well.
I've found it and will fix it in next update. Simply set correct file type in the Open File dialog. Do not set "all files (*.*)" !
Thank you very much.
