After new update of Alzex my two cell phone apps are not more synchronizing with DROPBOX and also disappeared dropbox option from database selection screen.

What can be done? Not working anymore.

I am having the same issue as well. I am no longer able to sync files and no longer able to see the Dropbox option in the open a new file option.

I've uninstalled, re-installed and even reauthorized the app with Dropbox and still have the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello.

Update the app on all devices and follow this instruction to set up sync: https://www.alzex.com/help/synchronization.html

Hi Alexandr,

Already did it and still the same issue. Syncing via dropbox for mobile apps is broken (on android at least). We don't see the dropbox option when we try to open via cloud option. Only Google Drive and OneDrive options are available.

I've already tried teh Beta version as well as the public release for the mobile app and have the same issue.

Dropbox doesn’t support Storage Access Framework, you can’t open file located in Dropbox.

To sync database via Dropbox you only need an account, that’s all. You don’t have to install Dropbox app or store database file here. Set up sync in the app settings then simply send file to another person (e.g. by email).

I'm a bit confused as well, but I got it work. I think the confusion comes from the fact that you cannot open the already existing database in Dropbox directly. You first need to have a database open in the Android app to be able to get to settings, where you can enable sync.

What I did was this:

1. Backup all Alzex files in Dropbox

2. Download database from Dropbox and open in Alzex app.

3. Go into settings and enable Syncronisation. This syncs with Dropbox, even though it doesn't say so.

4. Let is sync.

Works really well. Great job Alexandr! Just a bit confusing to work out.

I'm having the same problem.

I notice that when I sincronize in my cellphone app, it just update, in my Dropbox, a file called MAIN under the folder [mydatabase].sync and don't update my real database with .pfd extension.

When I change my database.pfd, using my computer app, it doesn't update the file MAIN. So when I open my cell, I don't see the computer updates.

You should update PC version to 6.1 and enable automatic sync in the app settings. Database file location doesn't matter.

Update the app on all devices or don’t update at all.
