Merge PFD Databases

Hello There,

I want to merge two .pfd files, but unfortunately this does not work well.
First, I tried to import one .pfd file into the other .pfd file. Then I created a new .pfd file and then imported the existing two .pfd files into the new created database.
Following issues exist:

- Accounts are not imported
- Categories are missing or others added I never used

Can you please provide me with simple steps on how to merge two Alzex Personal Finance software databases into one?

There are no options you can set while merging two files. If these files are copies of one database - all data with the same ID will be merged (it works just like sync). If these files are completely different - there will be separate copies of each entry. There is no option to choose which entries will stay separate, and which are merged.

thanks for your newer reply, which was again very quick. However, is it not annoying for you alike to have this Message ping-pong? If you know so quick an answer....lets turn around and please tell me the steps i have to take to import one database into the other.....WITHOUT loosing data.
One Database has my Accounting from 2011-2019. The second Database has my Accounting from 2020. Now, some accounts have the same name....some accounts are in one Database but not in the other.

Are they copies of one file? The same accounts will be merged, even if they have different names (e.g. if you renamed account some time ago in one of the files).

Well....Account Balances are not correct at all....Categories are not fully imported.....ACCOUNTS are missing
See the Screenshots i attached as an example.
Your writing makes it seem as a quiet straightforward task of importing.....but it is not.

What does it mean "incorrect"? Wrong name, balance, etc? If the files are completely different (I mean they are not copies of the one database), accounts with the same names will not be merged, there will be two accounts with the same name. And so on.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I have two Databases, let’s call them A and B....I did import Database A into B....as well-tried import Database B into A....The Results are the same
- Accounts are not correct
- Planer Settings are not correct
- Categories are not correct
.....are other entries missing.....i cannot be sure.
So Alexandr, can you please GUIDE me on how to merge two databases?

To merge two files import one into another. No need to create a third file.
