User icons v6

Hi, I have recently installed the new v6 for USB. I noticed that all user icons are being used by the program. Have they been disabled?

okay, I understand your objections.

The point "other versions", I can not accept:
If a platform supports properties and another platform not - why should the application not use it?
(once it has been implemented - it is another point, if the platform "deprecates" this property)
This point holds only for future decisions to "NOT implement a feature", which is not supported by all platforms.

The point "icon size", I can not accept:
I designed my user icons including optimization for different sizes (48x48, 32x32, 24x24, 16x16 [.ico format]).
So that reason will not hold.

Never the less: it is always a bad idea, to remove a useful feature with a new version,
what can be done: Declare this feature as deprecated and discontinue support for problems it causes...

Still disappointed about your decision ...

I thought I've already posted explanation here, but can't find it now. The reasons are:
1. Others versions (Mac, Android iOS) have no custom icons support and won't never have due to the platforms restrictions. And all goes to this restrictions will come to Windows platform too.
2. Icons size has changed which makes all your custom icons incompatible anyway. And size can be changed again in future (this actually has already happened and I want my hands free to change icons size again if I wish to).
3. It always was a headache: too complex for common user, which means a few real users and many questions.

just bought the new version, eager to load my database - where are my icons ?

I am sorry about your decision to discontinue the "user-icons". I spend a lot of time to fine-tune my icons for PersonalFinancePro to get a quick overview over my finances.

No chance to bring them back?
I am seriously thinking about switching back to the old version
