Alzex doesn’t seem to be CPU-intensive (so it’s not slowing down the processor).
However, its RAM usage is abnormally high — using around 3.7 GB of memory for a 1.6 MB data file is excessive.
This usually indicates a memory leak or a lack of database optimization within the application.
Since macOS Tahoe is a relatively new version, it’s also possible that Alzex hasn’t yet been fully optimized for this system.
Your 2020 MacBook Pro with an Intel i5 should easily handle this workload, so the issue is clearly software-related, not hardware-related.
