Alzex Running Slowly on macOS Tahoe

I’ve been using Alzex on macOS Tahoe, and it feels noticeably slow. My device is a 2020 MacBook Pro with an Intel i5 (4 cores) and 16 GB of RAM, so I don’t think the performance issue is hardware-related.
I have about 6 years of personal finance data stored in the app, and my .pfd data file is only around 1.6 MB. Could the slowdown be related to the size or structure of the data file? I’d appreciate any insights or optimization in a future update. I’d also like to know if there’s any recommended solution or optimization for this situation.

When monitoring system performance with Activity Monitor, Alzex consistently uses around 3.7 GB of RAM, while CPU usage stays very low (≈1%).
Other applications run normally, so it doesn’t seem to be a system-wide issue.
Could this slowdown be related to how Alzex handles larger or older .pfd data files?
Would exporting and re-importing the data help rebuild or optimize the file structure?

I asked ChatGPT for the problem and the last solution is like that =)

Alzex doesn’t seem to be CPU-intensive (so it’s not slowing down the processor).
However, its RAM usage is abnormally high — using around 3.7 GB of memory for a 1.6 MB data file is excessive.
This usually indicates a memory leak or a lack of database optimization within the application.
Since macOS Tahoe is a relatively new version, it’s also possible that Alzex hasn’t yet been fully optimized for this system.
Your 2020 MacBook Pro with an Intel i5 should easily handle this workload, so the issue is clearly software-related, not hardware-related.

Hello,
The app normally consumes 100-300 MB of RAM even with a very large database files (in all previous versions of Mac OS). Try to update Mac OS to the latest version and completely uninstall and reinstall the app. There are still many bugs in Tahoe however, so it might not help anyway.
