Have solved the Templates button crash.
As I noted earlier the initial crash trashed all my templates and gave them all the date 1/1/1970.
Once I deleted all those templates, the Templates button opened up. I had to recreate all my templates from scratch which I have now done. Hopefully they will all now automatically be entered now when the due dates come up.
The keyboard issue remains. At the moment when I open a file (either my social club file or my personal file), keyboard numbers entry works for the first new tranaction but not after that. If I close the file and open it again the same process repeats most of the time. It just seems to me there is a conflict of source for amount entry between the keyboard and the calculator window. Numbers for amounts can be entered from two sources which seems to create the conflict. That leads to a question. When a keyboard is connected why does the calculator window need to be used at all? Why can’t it just be bypassed for keyboard entry only, in the same way the virtual keyboard is bypassed for all other entries in new transactions (description, categories, payees etc.)? That to me would solve the problem. But I don’t know whether that is possible.
