When working with a window I open with Alzex to an account it goes back to the original setting. Very hard to do any research if I have to keep opening the folder over and over.

Your question is unclear, sorry. Provide more details please. Some screenshots maybe.

On any screen (As an example) Bank Account where it shows Income/Expense/Transfers.
Then if I open an item in that account and it shows payments in total
Then when I open that to show the individual payments to that it will stay on the screen for about a minute and then reverts back to the previous screen.

If you set up the following way...........
Bank (No Name) (Dates = ALL)
Savings (Within that account)
then you open the Savings account
you pick one of the items LIKE social security
It has a (+) sign
That opens up another (+) sign
You click on that and it shows each individual month
After a very short time (1 Min est) it closes.

That shouldn't happen. Try to completely uninstall and reinstall the app.
