Data Csash - File is corrupt

Since some weeks I lost all Datas including the backupfiles of the last few days because the files where corrupt. ALso file names of backup files look strange. I need to open a 3 days old backup file and try to remember all expenses.

This is a NO GO!

You can setup every day backup in [url=http://www.alzex.com/help/application-settings.html]application settings[/url] (by default program make backup copy every week). It is good idea to place backup files to another drive or cloud service like dropbox to prevent lost all data including backups cause drive malfunction, etc.

I have the same problem. My database dissapear for the 3rd time and I haven't deleted it!!!! My data is posted on dropbox as I use it from iphone and desktop. It is the third time it happens to me - I make a lot of changes and instead of saving data, the whole file get deleted and then I have to remember....

Markus, look at the recycle bin, although my changes were not saved since the last successfull save

Can you please post the path to the backup file?

Program just create backup copy and never touch it anymore. Always use "safely remove" when eject you usb stick and never store critical data on it.

I backup the data once a week to a NAS. The problem is that sometimes Personal Finance writes corrupt data AND also destroys (mess up) the backups in the backup directory. So I need to use my backup from NAS but these datas are one week old.

USB Stick? You MUST backup you data to other drive if you run software on usb stick. Flash drive can broke in any moment.

You don't need to reactivate software after update installation. Simple rewrite all files. I reset activations counter.

It's not a drive malfunction. Even the backup filenames look strange and are not openable!

I moved the software to another stick but now I get the message: "Too many activations" after I entered the key.

Every time I install a new version the name of the direcory changes and I reenter the key. Now I have no more licences! Thank you for that.
