I am trying to get a simple transaction list for a particular category that gives me the net expense/income for the category.
I can get a net total for the category from the categories list but not the transaction list that makes it up.
I can get a transaction list for a category by typing the category name in the search box for transactions but no sub totals or net total overall. Income and expense totals seemed to have no relation at all to the list.
Is there some way to display a list of transactions for a category which may include both expense and income items (e.g. doctor's bills with Medicare refunds, retail categories where some goods have been returned and generated refunds) that gives a net total at the bottom of the list for the category?
Is is very helpful when trying to prepare an accurate budget for a category.
