Is this program still being developed (Windows)?

I haven't seen a reply from Alexandr for several weeks, including no response to a question I asked over a month ago.

I recently paid to renew my licence for another year so that I could receive updates etc but the silence from Alexandr is deafening.

Of course if there is some valid reason why there are no responses, fair enough - but at least let your paying customers know.

If there are to be no updates to the Windows version, how do I get a refund for my renewal?

Regards.

Hi Alex, do you have an estimation, when Windows users can expect the next update? I know, there are more and more Android users and they demand the development of that version, but please do not forget either the Windows users. Both versions could be developed in parallel (currently 10% of full development time for WIN, 90% for Android and later 50-50% or so).

I agree, the windows version still has lots of less than user friendly quirks in it.

For instance when Adding a Transaction, after selecting from a dropdown list of previous Payees the cursor jumps to the amount where it should be dropping onto the Date as its not often we go into the same store on the same day.

A split transaction, usually occurs in the same store, so to enter the Payees details, date, etc first then enter the splits would be user friendly. But PFPro throws a window up to enter the splits and everything relating to the Payee comes after on the right. When entering a split transaction using '+' to enter another line would be good. I feel there is all too much mouse work throughout.

These are a number of quirky annoyances and you have a lot of power in the functionality of PFPro, it has all the makings of a fantastic piece of software with a long journey life ahead of it if development isn't too slow and some of its gliches are identified and removed sooner rather than later.

It seems, developing of Win version is stopped and the focus is only on Android version. What a pity.

I am looking for a similar application from other developers that includes multi-device sync (Windows and IOS in my case) but such applications are few and far between or not worthwhile. I looked at BankTree 3 but it's not quite the same at PFPro.

It's a shame that the development of the Windows version has stalled but I think Alexandr is operating as a one-man band and obviously has his priorities set on the Android version.

Nonetheless, no updates or tweaks since March 2015 is a bit disappointing for those who have paid for the software (twice in my case).

We're working on major update - version 6. It will take some time to finish the job.

Hello Alexandr, this sounds good, although the development is ongoing a year ago and still needs time until v6.0 is published. Could we know, what functions will be implemented, expanded, what bugs will be fixed and also approximately when the new release can be expected?

We're going to release v6 at the beginning of the next year. A lots of new features are planned, I'll publish full list later.

Wait... December 28 I bought 2.015 maintenance for a year to get updates, but if the new update comes out at the beginning of 2017, does that mean I have thrown the money? In this case I would not have acquired the maintenance until the new version was going out

This is not just, I pay a year of maintenance for updates, if I have not even one... At least the period of maintenance should be extended until there is an update that justifies the realized expense

It will be extended, don't worry.

Hi, Now I receive e-mail with notice of 7 days expiration, how will be extended the period of maintenance? If I do not renew now I will lose my subscription...

Hello. Are there any news regarding the new version for windows?

I'm a client since 2011 always paying the yearly license.

There has been no updates since March 2015. I renew my license every year on July.... so I noticed that I have been paying for... literally nothing... during my last renewal (July 2015 to July 2016)...

I've always renewed with the hope that there would be a new release.

Don't take me wrong, your program is great, but I don't like to waste my money...

Is there anyway I can recover this money or use it as a voucher on something else from your company?

Hello.

See above, I said "At least the period of maintenance should be extended..." and Alexandr said "It will be extended, don't worry."

Hello Alex, do you have any update for Win users? When v6 is planned to be published? Is there a beta to test?

Please just give us some hope, that next version will be available by summer this year. :-)

Thank you!

... and the silence is deafening!

We're now into the second quarter of 2017 and still no sign of the update (v6) that was going to be released "at the beginning of the next year" nor of the list of new features that was also promised.

I guess more users would like Android and iOS versions being updated than Win version. So first priority is there. Even if Alex works hard on v6 (we do not know anything about, just promises, because) the communication is poor. A new feature list with a planned publishing date could/should be provided to reassure Win users, that development is not finished. Although Alex's program is very good, the 2 or 3 years updating period is very-very long (for fixing bugs / adding new features based on user requirements).

In case 2 years ago (when this thread opened) Alex was developing Android version and iOS last year, then 2017 is our year! Hope so... ;-)

We're working on it. The mobile versions are good enough now and we'll turn back to Windows version very soon. There is no features list yet because we decided to make few small updates of v5 before we'll start working on major update.
