help_en.chm does not work in network drive with portable version

I recognized that the integrated help system only works, if the portable version is placed on a local drive, not when stored somewhere in a network path (in my network all the data is stored in NAS), and the drives are mapped as a network share. How can i fix this? I know i can browse the help online instead, or make a local copy, but is there a proper way to solve this? Thanks
